EASY TREKKING

This trek follows one of the most extraordinary and well preserved pre-Columbian route that exist in Bolivia. It was used during Pre-Columbian times for the transportation of the mineral and agricultural product between the Amazon basing and the Andean Plateau. You will have the opportunity to experience the most interesting phenomenon as you see in the landscape change dramatically as the flora becomes abundant the air becomes richer in oxygen and humidity as the temperature rises from around 4oC to 25oC with in a few hours.

SCHEDULE:

DAY 01: Departure from La Paz by vehicle transport for 2 hours drive to San Francisco mine (4.200 Mts), beginning the trek to cross the high pass of Takesi at 4.650 Mts, need  about two hours,  then descending to the village of Takesi (3.800 Mts.) here  beginning of vegetation of the Yungas  overnight camping.

DAY 02: Descend to the Sub–tropical zone; today in the way we have few nice places  fascinate “El Mirador Inca” located in a perfect corner to observe the deep rivers, and village  of Kakapi a paradises green place full  colors and flowers surrounded a incomparable landscape.  After five hours we arrival at  Pongo  pampa end of the trekking overnight camping or with transport continuing to Yanacachi small locality or drive to “El Castillo hotel” or similar overnight in the hotel. Today we need for 8 hours.

DAY 03: From Yugas tropical Zone (1.752 Mts), picked up by vehicle transport. Return trip tree hours to La Paz, arrival to your hotel and end of our service.

DURATION: 3 DAYS – 2 NIGHT

VERY IMPORTANT:

We strongly advice, members of the Expedition must have the following personal trekking items:

-   Rucksack 70 Lt. Trekking boots, feather sleeping bag able to withstand temperatures –20oC for altitude site, light sleeping bag for tropical sites, respective mat and insulated pad, cold protective jacket / Gore-Tex, rain and wind jacket / anorak rain and cold protective pants, several pairs of good cold protective wool socks, good cold protective gloves, wool scarf, sun and cold protective caps, sun and cold protective creams, a lamp with new batteries, individual water bottle, personal first aid kit, warn clothing for altitude sites, warn clothing for tropical sites and a small notebook
