MT. ILLAMPU (6.369 Mts. above sea level)

The grandiose Cordillera Real (Royal Range) begins with the majestic Mt Illampu (6.368 Mts. above sea level). Its summit was crowned for the first time in 1.928 by Austrian expedition headed by Hans Pflann, Alfred Hores, Chowski, Hugo Hortnagel and Erwin Hein. Among the Most important peaks of the Illampu groups are:
Illampu I (6.369 Mts. above sea level), Illampu II (6.344 Mts. above sea level), Illampu III (6.060 Mts. above sea level), Illampu IV (6.070 Mts. above sea level), Illampu Gorro de Hielo (6.060 Mts. above sea level), Aguja Yacuma (6.072 Mts. above sea level), Pico Yacuma (6.062 Mts. above sea level) 


DAY 01: Departure from La Paz and trip with exclusive vehicle transport to Sorata (2.700 Mts. above sea level).  AFTERNOON: After lunch trip by 4X4 vehicle transport from Sorata to Chiu-Chiu (4.600 Mts. above sea level), then to Ancohuma village (4.040 Mts. above sea level). From La Paz to Ancohuma Night camping.


DAY 02: Ascent to the base camp Aguas Calientes (4.600 Mts. above sea level) walking for 4 hours with assistance of pack animals at night camping.


DAY 03: Rest day at the base camp. Night camping.


DAY 04: Ascent to the high camp I  (5.000 Mts. above sea level) about seven hours. Night camping.


DAY 05: Ascent to the camp (5.600 Mts. above sea level) above broken glacial. Night Camping.


DAY 06: Ascent to the summit of Mt. Illampu (6.368 Mts. above sea level), the normal route is hard, back to the high camp. Night camping . Total activity 14 hours.


DAY 07: Descent to the base camp Aguas Calientes. Night camping. Rest afternoon.


DAY 08: Descent with assistance of pack animals to the village of Ancohuma. Back by 4X4 vehicle to Sorata and night hotel.


DAY 09: Departure by vehicle transport and return to La Paz arrival to your hotel. End of our services

- Exclusive transport 4X4 Toyota round trip,specialised Mountains Guide,collective technical equipment two person, tent,Cook and an assistant person, there Meals during the day (Full board pension)Full kitchen, equipment. We strongly advice you to be fully equipped before you start any expedition. Members of the high mountain expedition must have the following complete personal climbing equipment:

- Rucksack  70 Lt. ,climbing plastic boots, crampons, ice axe  / ice pick, harness, a pair of waterproof gaiters, a pair of prusicks, sleeping bag able to withstand temperature – 20oC , respective mat and insulated pad, rain and down feather jacket / gorotex, wind jacket, snow sticks, good snows pants, good cold protective gloves and scarves, good cold protective socks, sun and snow glasses with side protection, sun and cold protective caps, sun and cold protective creams, head lamp with new batteries, personal first aid kit, individual water bottles, a small notebook.
