TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY: FOR CLIMBERS WITH CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE

 

This group of mountains consist of 25 peaks which present different levels of technical. Its most important summits are. North Chachacomani (6.325 Mts)
South Chachacomani (6.095 Mts), and Chiaroko (6.150 Mts), Kelluani Pyramid (6.000 Mts), the  Douglas Moore (5.843 Mts.)... this groups of mountains also present many peaks which have not yet climbed.

SCHEDULE:  

DAY 01: Departure from La Paz by exclusive vehicle transport  drive to   village of San Juan de Chachacomani, then  to Killuani village  (4.400 Mts. above sea level), journey approximately 4 hours by 4WD vehicle.  Overnight camping

DAY 02: Ascent to the base camp (4,800 Mts. above sea level) with assistance of pack animals; need 9 hours, overnight camping

DAY 03: Rest day at the base camp. This day, the guide must inspect to the glacier, intermediate camp at 5.100 Mts. above sea level, overnight camping

DAY 04: Ascent to the high camp (5.100 Mts. above sea level), with assistance of high altitude porters; need 7 hours, overnight camping

DAY 05: Climb to the summit of Chiaroko (6.150 Mts. above sea level); need all technical equipment to climb to summit. We need 7 hours descent back to the high camp, total activity 10 hours, overnight camping

DAY 06: Hike up to Chachacomani  high camp. (5.500 Mts. above sea level), today we need go up 3 hours on the glacier overnight camping.

DAY 07: Climb the summit of Chachacomani (6.350 Mts. above sea level) we need  climb to summit  6 hours, and  descent  return to the high camp, overnight camping

DAY 08: Descent to the base camp (4.700 Mts. above sea level), overnight camping

DAY 09: Descent to  with pack animals  for about   4 hours  to Kelluani village  there picked  up by vehicle transport drive  to San Juan de Chachacomani and La Paz  arrive  at your hotel.

DURATION: 09 Days – 8 Nights

SEASON: April – October.

ORGANISED  CLIMBING  TOURS  COST  INCLUDED:

- Exclusive transport 4X4 Toyota round trip,specialised Mountains Guide,collective technical equipment two person, tent,Cook and an assistant person, there Meals during the day (Full board pension)Full kitchen, equipment. Cook and assistant,pack animals, mules maximum load capacity per animal 40 kg, high Altitude porters, support logistical material, radio communications.

NOT INCLUDED

- Personal equipment and climbing material, extra expenses out mentioned, tip, etc.

VERY IMPORTANT

We strongly advice you to be fully equipped before you start any expedition. Members of the high mountain expedition must have the following complete personal climbing equipment:

- Rucksack  70 Lt. ,climbing plastic boots, crampons, ice axe  / ice pick, harness, a pair of waterproof gaiters, a pair of prusicks, sleeping bag able to withstand temperature – 20oC , respective mat and insulated pad, rain and down feather jacket / gorotex, wind jacket, snow sticks, good snows pants, good cold protective gloves and scarves, good cold protective socks, sun and snow glasses with side protection, sun and cold protective caps, sun and cold protective creams, head lamp with new batteries, personal first aid kit, individual water bottles, a small notebook.
